Neither do I. After two weeks it’s over. Then comes remorse, self loathing, and and even longer list of to do’s. Better stick that Asian persistence you’re born and raised with .,.

Yeah, totally agree. I know myself well enough to know what inspires/motivates me and what makes me feel like shit and making resolutions is like setting ourselves up for disappointment. I don't need that! I just need goals and persistence to keep me focused. ✌️

Yeah. I always feel like being better than ourselves yesterday is probably the best way to do it—even if it’s only 0.001% better. By the way the artwork on your books are insane (in a good way). Colorful. Great eye.

Definitely! I feel the same way. I know it's hard to stick to this principle, but I feel like writers should stop worrying (read: competing) with other writers and instead keep working at their craft and comparing themselves to where they used to be. Not only will you see how much you've grown artistically but you'll be inspired to really bring it as you keep grinding away. And thanks for your words about my covers! I wish I could take credit for them but they're the products of two amazing illustrators who, fortunately for me, were good enough to ask me what the big visual signifiers and motifs were in my books, and then let me decide the final covers. But I agree they did such a dope job! ✌️
